Call for Papers for the SLR Journal

The NUALS Securities Law Review is inviting submissions for its 1st Volume to be published in May 2023. Contributions are encouraged from academicians, legal professionals, and law students.

Submission Categories

The SLR accepts submissions in the following categories:

 

• Case Comments: 2000 – 5000 words

• Essays: 2500 – 5000 words

 • Articles: 5000 – 10000 words

Topic

The submissions must be original works of the author(s) relating to recent developments and events related to Securities Law and Capital Markets. Preference will be given to submissions that provide critical analysis of legal questions accompanied by possible solutions for the same.

Submission Guidelines

• Exclusive Submission Policy – The submission should be original work and should not be submitted simultaneously to any other publications.

 • Zero Plagiarism – Plagiarism is strictly prohibited, and all references taken should be cited.

 • After review, manuscripts may be returned to authors suggesting changes to content, style, or structure. Acceptance of the piece for publication may be made contingent upon incorporating the suggestions.

• The submissions must be accompanied by an abstract of not more than 250 words.

• All manuscripts should be formatted in Times New Roman, size 12, and line spacing of 1.5. The citations should be in Times New Roman, size 10, and line spacing 1.

• Footnotes are required and should be in the Bluebook 20th Edition format. The word count is exclusive of footnotes.

 • All submissions should be in .doc or .docx format.

 • The submissions shall be subjected to a peer-reviewed process by the editors, and the final decision shall lie at the discretion of the board of editors.

 • Co-authorship of papers is allowed up to three persons.


How to Submit?

In order to facilitate an independent, innovative dialogue on securities law and capital markets, we invite students as well as professionals to send in their entries to cld@nuals.ac.in on or before April 20, 2023. The subject of the mail should be ‘Submission for NUALS Securities Law Review [Journal]’.

The body of the mail shall contain details of the author/s (full name, year of study & university/position & place of work and contact number). An entry not adhering to the submission guidelines shall not be entertained.


Prizes

A consolidated cash prize of Rs 10,000 will be distributed among the top submissions in each category.
